We have three great opportunities that have opened up for CMS students after school. You can find the applications for both programs below their descriptions. 4-H begins on Tuesday January 2nd and SUU Tutoring begins on Tuesday January 10th. We feel very fortunate to be able to offers these great programs to our students and appreciate these community services.
SUU STEM Tutoring
This tutoring will take place at Cedar High School. Tutors from SUU will work with students who apply in science and/or math. The program is on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 – 5:00 at CHS. Students can attend both days or just one. Parents must fill out an application and then call or give a note to the office each day they want their child to attend tutoring. We will then issue a bus pass to the child to ride to CHS. Students will not be issued a pass without a parent phone call or note. Parents are responsible for picking their child up at CHS in the library prior to 5:00 pm.
We will have tutors in our building on Monday and Wednesday from 2:45 – 4:00 starting on Monday September 16th. ETS will be here to work with students on homework. These tutors will be working with larger groups. A permission slip will be available in the office and online shortly.
The 4-H program will be returning to CMS for students in 7th and 8th grade this year. This program will be held Monday – Thursday right after school until 5:00 PM. Students will work on homework, eat a snack, and play games with the 4-H volunteers and other CMS students. Parents must fill out the application packet prior to their child attending. Space is limited and is first come first serve. This program is reserved for students attending Cedar Middle School.
